- 동사 어간 + 아/어야 해(요) → 하다→해야 해, 가다→가야 해, 먹다→먹어야 해
Verb stem + 아/어야 해(요) expresses obligation.
- "해야 해"와 "해야 돼"는 실질적으로 같은 뜻, "해야 돼"가 구어체에서 더 흔함
"해야 해" and "해야 돼" mean the same; "해야 돼" is more common in speech.
- 부정(불필요): 동사 어간 + 지 않아도 돼
Negative (not necessary): stem + 지 않아도 돼.
